Transformations USA June 2006
10 September, 2008 - 15:42
This exhibition and accompanying catalogue deepen our understanding of the forces that shape our existence and how art becomes a powerful tool for navigating change.
We offer our most sincere appreciation to the artists from around the world who shared their work and stories with us. Through their personal experiences, we explore the transformation of artistic media into works of art. Collectively, the art reflects aspects of the human condition such as the desire for dignity and the ability to find meaning in all of life's circumstances.
Peter Hughes a prolific artist at Monte Lupo and Access Arts had a painting accepted into Transformation, an international exhibition showcasing artists with disabilities held at the Kennedy center in Washington. Peter was one of 23 artists to be selected from a pool of 292 applicants
